Bulgarian municipalities approve funding for infrastructure and sports

The Dobrichka Municipal Council has approved over 524,000 euros in interest-free loans to fund infrastructure projects in the villages of Stefanovo and Vedrina. These funds, drawn from the municipal budget to the European funds account, will facilitate payments for road rehabilitation in Stefanovo and water pipeline reconstruction in Vedrina. These projects are supported by grants from the State Fund Agriculture.

In Bansko, municipal councilors are set to review a proposal to allocate 125,000 euros to the Bulgarian Ski Federation. This funding is intended to support the hosting of the Alpine Snowboard World Cup in January 2027. Additionally, the council will discuss emergency repairs for the city park in Dobrinishte following an inspection that revealed damage to electrical networks, cables, and green spaces caused by previous excavation work.
