Bulgaria's National Anti‑HIV “Summer Without Risk” Campaign Launches in August
Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health has opened the annual summer anti‑HIV campaign, “Summer Without Risk”, running from 1 to 31 August. The programme offers free, anonymous rapid HIV tests and counseling across the country, with additional screening for hepatitis B and C in selected locations.
In Burgas, a mobile laboratory will operate on 3 August from 10:00 to 13:00 near the city clock, providing on‑site testing and information about the eHealth record system and the “eZdrave” mobile app. In Haskovo Province, the Regional Health Inspection will hold daily free HIV/STD consultations from 9:00 to 15:30 at the municipal office and will visit multiple public venues, including swimming pools and retail parks, with a mobile medical unit.
The campaign aims to raise awareness among young and at‑risk groups, promote responsible sexual behaviour, and encourage the use of electronic health records for better personal health management.
