Bullfighters Iñigo Norte and José del Castillo succeed in Salamanca

Young bullfighters Iñigo Norte and José del Castillo achieved significant success during recent performances in Salamanca.

Iñigo Norte, a novillero from Salamanca, delivered a standout performance at La Glorieta. Using a bull from Esteban Isidro named ‘Casto 2’, Norte earned two ears and a lap of honor (vuelta al ruedo) following a high-quality display of technique. Other participants, including Diego Ortega and Samuel Berdejo, also earned trophies during the event.

In a separate debut, 16-year-old José del Castillo from Sagunt made his professional appearance as a novillero at the Mieza bullring. Despite initial difficulties with his first bull, Castillo earned two ears and a lap of honor after a strong performance with a challenging second bull from the Ignacio López Chaves ranch. Experts noted his unique style, describing him as having a ‘Mediterranean essence’ due to his Valencian roots.
