Bullfighting events and awards announced in Teruel and Seville

The Teruel bullring will host a special bullfighting day on November 1 to honor Pepe Vicente Lapuente for his contributions to the tradition. Organized by the Asociación Taurina Turolense El Ruedo in collaboration with the Teruel City Council, the event will feature exhibitions including 'anillas', 'recortes', and livestock from the Pedro Domínguez ranch. The program begins with a formal recognition of Lapuente followed by various bullfighting displays.

In Seville, the Tertulia Taurina Los 13 has named Julio Norte as the most outstanding 'novillero' for the 2026 season. The award, presented at the Maestranza bullring, recognizes Norte for his commitment and performance, specifically noting his success during the April 14 fair. The jury also issued a special mention to the Alejandro Talavante ranch for the quality of its livestock.
