BULOG and DPR RI launch third phase of rice food assistance

Perum BULOG and Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) have officially launched the third phase of the rice food assistance program. This phase covers the allocation for October, November, and December 2026.

With the approval of President Prabowo Subianto, the government is continuing the program to support approximately 33.2 million food assistance recipients across Indonesia. Each recipient is allocated 10 kilograms of rice per month, totaling 30 kilograms for the final quarter of the year. The initiative aims to maintain purchasing power and ensure food security for families.

In Pamekasan, Madura, BULOG reported that while the second phase achieved a 99.97 percent distribution rate, 47 recipients failed to receive their allocation due to data discrepancies. These issues were attributed to recipients passing away or moving out of the region, with replacement data not meeting the required decile classifications.
