Bureau of Customs reports record ₱664 billion revenue for Jan-Aug 2026
The Philippine Bureau of Customs (BOC) reported a record-breaking revenue collection of ₱664.776 billion for the first eight months of 2026. This figure exceeds the agency's target of ₱659.309 billion by ₱5.467 billion and represents a 7% increase compared to the ₱621.387 billion collected during the same period in 2025.
In August 2026 alone, the BOC collected ₱81.361 billion, a 5.1% increase over the ₱77.346 billion recorded in August 2025. While the August collection fell slightly below the monthly target, the year-to-date surplus maintained the agency's overall positive performance.
Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno noted that these results were achieved despite significant weather disturbances that caused work suspensions and disrupted trade operations across several ports and collection districts for nearly two weeks. The Bureau attributed the sustained growth to the resilience of its personnel and effective collection efforts nationwide.
