Burendag activities and emergency preparedness initiatives

September 26 marks Burendag, a day for neighbors to connect and organize. In Noord-Brabant, the Vfonds is offering the ‘Samen Weerbaar’ subsidy to help communities prepare for emergencies. Groups, clubs, or neighborhoods can apply for between €500 and €5,000 to fund initiatives such as mapping local needs, creating power outage plans, or organizing first aid courses.

In Dieren, the residents' group Samen Stenfert is celebrating Burendag at Hart van Stenfert. The event coincides with the official reopening of renovated spaces at the back of the building. Activities include an information market, workshops, an open stage, and a documentary. The day will conclude with a free outdoor film screening at the local schoolyard.
