Burgas region reports accidents involving Polish tourists
Several accidents involving foreign nationals have been reported in the Burgas region. In Sveti Vlas, a 42-year-old Polish tourist was hospitalized with three broken ribs following a collision involving a water attraction. The incident occurred when a jet ski, towing an inflatable ‘sofa’ occupied by the woman and her daughter, made a sharp turn and collided with a surfer. The impact caused the surfer to fall directly onto the woman.
Separately, a multi-vehicle pile-up occurred on the Varna-Burgas road on August 27. A 55-year-old Moldovan driver struck a car with British registration plates, causing it to collide with a third vehicle stopped at a traffic light. A 39-year-old Polish woman and her two children, aged 5 and 7, sustained minor injuries in the crash and were released after medical examination.
Authorities in Burgas are investigating the circumstances of both incidents, including safety protocols for water attractions and traffic compliance.
