On August 23, a 44-year-old Polish tourist drowned in the sea at the Sunny Beach resort near the Glarus Hotel. Local police in Nessebar initiated pre-trial proceedings to investigate the circumstances of the death.

Subsequent reports detailed further incidents involving Polish citizens. In Sveti Vlas, a 42-year-old Polish woman was hospitalized with broken ribs after a jet ski towing an inflatable ‘sofa’ collided with a surfer. Additionally, a multi-vehicle pile-up on the Varna-Burgas road resulted in minor injuries to a 39-year-old Polish woman and her two children. Authorities are investigating these incidents, focusing on traffic compliance and safety protocols for water attractions.
