Burgas region reports scooter accidents and drug seizures
The Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior reported several incidents involving electric scooters and drug-related offenses in the coastal region.
Three separate electric scooter accidents occurred recently. In Nesebar, a 36-year-old man suffered a skull fracture and brain hemorrhage after an improper overtaking maneuver resulted in a collision with a Toyota Land Cruiser. In Sunny Beach, a 30-year-old man sustained minor injuries after crashing into a curb due to excessive speed. Additionally, a 58-year-old man in Ravda was hospitalized with a concussion after crashing while under the influence of alcohol, testing at 1.91 permille.
Law enforcement also conducted multiple drug seizures. In Burgas, a 25-year-old was found with cannabis. In Sunny Beach, a 35-year-old from Sofia was caught with cocaine and crystal meth, while a 24-year-old man in a hotel room was found with 90 grams of cannabis and 14 grams of methamphetamine. Furthermore, two minors were detained: a 17-year-old in Sinemorets with hashish and marijuana, and a 16-year-old in Burgas with marijuana.
