Burkina Faso Customs exceeds August revenue target with 124 billion FCFA

The Burkina Faso Customs Directorate has reported a significant revenue mobilization for August 2026, collecting 124 billion FCFA. This figure exceeds the monthly target of 118 billion FCFA by 6 billion FCFA.

Director General Yves Kafando described the result as a “performance historique” (historic performance), noting that the achievement is particularly notable because August is typically a month of slowed commercial activity.

Cumulative revenues since January have reached approximately 945 billion FCFA. This represents roughly 69% of the annual target of 1,367 billion FCFA set for 2026. The administration remains focused on securing public revenue and intensifying the fight against fraud.
