Bursa: 182 people hospitalized after community meal

In the İnegöl district of Bursa, Turkey, 182 people sought medical attention following a community event in the Çiftli neighborhood. The incident occurred after the 2nd Traditional Mevlid-i Şerif and Rice Day, an event organized to strengthen community bonds and commemorate the deceased.

Participants reported symptoms of nausea and vomiting approximately three hours after consuming chicken rice and ayran (a yogurt drink). Authorities have launched an investigation and collected samples of both the rice and the ayran for testing. Preliminary reports indicate that some of the ayran may have been past its expiration date, though a definitive link to the illnesses has not yet been established.
