Bursa celebrates 700th anniversary of conquest with district festivals

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality launched the first district festival of the "700th anniversary of the Conquest of Bursa" in Osmancık Pınarbaşı Park, Osmangazi. The event featured children's playgrounds, workshop sessions, animation shows and sales stalls of women's cooperatives, drawing strong public interest.

Cultural performances included a Mehter band concert, a traditional Karagöz‑Hacivat shadow play, theatre pieces, magic shows and other stage acts. The programme aims to highlight Bursa’s historic and cultural identity while supporting local producers and women entrepreneurs.

The celebrations will continue throughout July and August in all 17 districts of the city, with the next major gathering scheduled for July 7 in Gürsu City Square.
