Bursa to undergo 24‑hour water outage in three districts on 8 July 2026
The Bursa Metropolitan Municipality’s water authority (BUSKİ) began operation of the new Çınarcık Drinking Water Treatment Plant and will integrate its output into the city’s supply network. To complete the connection, a mandatory water cut will be imposed on 8 July 2026 from 00:10 to 23:50, affecting the districts of Nilüfer, Mudanya and Karacabey. Dozens of neighbourhoods, industrial zones, a university campus and a children’s hospital will experience the interruption, and residents have been urged to store water in advance.
A second series of controlled interruptions is scheduled for 9‑13 July 2026 in Nilüfer and Mustafakemalpaşa districts. The cuts will run each day between 09:00 and 18:00 to allow work on existing pipelines and to prevent potential leaks. Affected neighbourhoods in Nilüfer include Özlüce, Özer and Erdinç streets, while Mustafakemalpaşa will see outages in Cumhuriyet, Selimiye, Şeyhmüftü and several other quarters. Authorities again asked residents to take precautionary measures.
