Bursa marks 700th anniversary of conquest with Keles district celebrations

The Bursa Metropolitan Municipality organized district festivals to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the city's conquest. In Keles, the events were held at the Orhan Çetin Sports Complex and were attended by municipal officials including Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba (represented by Deputy Mayor Numan Çakır), Keles District Governor Burak Bozkurt Gürses, Mayor Ali Doğru and AK Party district head Özcan Yeni.

The day-long program offered cultural, artistic and entertainment activities for all ages: stalls run by women's associations and cooperatives, children's play areas, workshops, animation shows, a planetary‑tent, magic performances, Kahoot competitions, theatre shows and a traditional Karagöz shadow‑play. Participants praised the municipality for the festive atmosphere. The Keles celebration is part of a series across 17 districts and will continue in Harmancık on 12 August.
