Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Holds 700th Conquest Anniversary Festivities in Yenişehir

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality marked the 700th anniversary of the city's 1326 conquest with a day‑long cultural festival in the Yenişehir district. Organized by the municipality’s Culture, Arts and Social Services Directorate, the event featured children’s play areas, workshops, animation shows, and stalls of women‑run cooperatives. Performances included a mehter band, concerts, a Karagöz‑Hacivat shadow play, theatre, magic acts, and a planetarium tent offering space education. The Yenişehir Women’s Band also took part. The celebration is part of a series of district festivals across all 17 Bursa districts, with the next program scheduled for 28 July in Orhangazi’s amphitheater.
