Bursa police crack down on irregular migration and illegal employment

Police in Bursa conducted operations across the province to combat irregular migration and human smuggling. During the inspections, authorities questioned 1,544 individuals and took action against 29 foreign nationals.

In the Osmangazi district, an operation at a workplace revealed 15 foreign workers being employed without permits. Of these, five individuals were found to have entered the country illegally without identification. In the Yıldırım district, five additional undocumented foreign nationals were identified. All undocumented individuals were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for deportation proceedings. Two suspects were apprehended for allegedly providing illegal employment and housing for foreign nationals for a fee.

Additionally, police inspected 145 vehicles, issuing administrative fines totaling 278,853 Turkish Lira to 34 vehicles.
