Bursa poultry sector sees new investments in breeding and egg production
Significant poultry and egg production investments are being planned in the Bursa province of Turkey.
In the Mustafakemalpaşa district, Şemseddin Güneş is planning a new breeding chicken facility in the Behram neighborhood. The project involves an investment of approximately 31.5 million TL, with the majority of the budget allocated to construction and infrastructure. The facility is designed to house roughly 59,000 breeding chicks and chickens across six separate coops, covering a total indoor area of approximately 9,729 square meters. The production cycle is expected to last 65 weeks.
In the Yenişehir district, MAY Yiyecek İçecek Hizmetleri A. Ş. is pursuing a capacity expansion project for egg poultry production in the Çamönü neighborhood. This project aims to add 252,495 chickens to the existing facility, bringing the total capacity to over 267,000 chickens. The expansion includes replacing existing structures with a new 2,856-square-meter coop utilizing a cage system. Once operational, the facility targets a daily production of over 200,000 eggs, with an estimated annual output of approximately 73.2 million eggs.
