BURULAŞ introduces update process for old student BursaKart designs

BURULAŞ has announced a new regulation for students using BursaKart in Bursa to address issues with visa and subscription processes on older card designs. Starting September 7, 2026, students with older-style Student Discounted Cards, Student Short Subscription Cards, and Student Long Subscription Cards will be able to update their existing cards instead of being forced to purchase new ones.

Students are encouraged to first attempt visa or subscription transactions via the BursaKart website, mobile application, or kiosk devices. If the old design prevents digital transactions, students can visit BURULAŞ Personalization Offices for assistance. Once updated, these cards will be fully functional for both visa and subscription services. The deadline for completing these updates is December 31, 2026. To avoid congestion during the busy school season, students are advised not to delay the process.
