Busan City and Han Dong-hoon discuss securing national funds

Busan Metropolitan City and independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon held their first budget policy consultative meeting on the 14th to discuss regional development and securing national treasury funds for the upcoming year.

Busan officials requested support for nine major local issues, including the second relocation of public institutions, the timely opening of Gadeokdo New Airport, the conversion of Chimrye Hospital into a public hospital, and the establishment of safe drinking water systems. The discussion also covered 17 key projects requiring national financial support, such as the establishment of a National Quantum Innovation Center and the development of an AI-driven smart city in the Eco Delta area.

Han Dong-hoon, a member of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, emphasized that political party differences should not hinder the development of Busan and the Buk-gu district. He pledged to cooperate across party lines to achieve results through budget allocation and performance.
