Busan City to host inaugural 2026 AI Festival at BEXCO
Busan City will host the inaugural 2026 Busan AI Festival from September 9 to 11 at the BEXCO exhibition center. Held in conjunction with K-ICT WEEK in BUSAN, the event is designed to provide citizens and students with hands-on experience with artificial intelligence technologies.
Organized in collaboration with the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education as part of a pilot project for educational development zones, the festival aims to bridge the technological and educational gap between the Busan region and the Seoul metropolitan area.
Key attractions include an AI and Robot Experience Zone operated by the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), where visitors can interact with humanoid and companion robots. Other activities include AI smart glasses demonstrations, augmented reality (AR) dodgeball, coding missions with autonomous robots, and an AI quiz competition. Admission is free to the public, though some specific programs require pre-registration via the official website.
