Busan rolls out KTX travel package and 'Busan‑disease' cure promotion
Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) has partnered with Busan's Jung‑gu district to launch a limited‑edition travel product called “KTX 타고 부산 중구로 체크인”. The package, available to the first 300 purchasers, includes a 10 % discount on a KTX ticket to Busan, a Railplus card pre‑loaded with 10,000 won, and a choice of a Busan Tower or Geumak Festival tour. Korail spokesperson O Tae‑ho said the product “connects KTX, public transport and Busan’s key attractions to raise convenience and tangible benefits for travelers.”
At the same time, Busan City and the Busan Tourism Organization have introduced a “Busan‑disease cure promotion” aimed at Chinese‑speaking visitors. In collaboration with the online travel platform KKday, the campaign offers tiered travel bundles, online discounts, and up to 1,000 NTD (≈5 USD) worth of flight coupons. A dedicated booth will operate at Gimhae Airport to distribute promotional materials and encourage repeat visits, targeting tourists from Taiwan and Hong Kong.
