Busan to host K-ICT WEEK to promote AI transformation

Busan will host ‘K-ICT WEEK in BUSAN’ from September 9 to 11 at BEXCO. Under the theme ‘AX Wave in BUSAN, AX Innovation Hub Busan,’ the event aims to showcase the city’s artificial intelligence (AI) transformation ecosystem through three main pillars: corporate growth, talent settlement, and citizen engagement.

The event will feature participation from domestic companies such as Douzone Bizon and Megazone, as well as international firms including Germany’s DeepL and Vietnam’s FPT. Programming includes cloud conferences with experts from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kakao Enterprise, alongside industry-specific seminars like the Busan Data Center Tech Summit.

To support business expansion, the event will facilitate one-on-one consultations between local companies and approximately 40 global buyers from 15 countries, including Japan and Singapore. Additionally, the ‘Busan AI Festival’ will offer public AI experiences, and an ‘AI Education Hall’ involving 51 local schools will focus on nurturing future talent.
