Aguascalientes named Mexico's Ambassador State of Franchises

Aguascalientes has been recognized as the ‘Estado Embajador de las Franquicias de México’ (Ambassador State of Franchises in Mexico) for its efforts to promote the franchise business model and support local entrepreneurship. The distinction was awarded during the North American Trilateral Franchise Collaboration Summit held in Mexico City.

During the summit, the Mexican Franchise Association (AMF), the International Franchise Association (IFA) of the United States, and the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) signed a cooperation agreement. This pact aims to strengthen the franchise ecosystem across North America by facilitating information exchange and brand expansion between Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

Esaú Garza de Vega, the Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology for Aguascalientes, stated that the recognition reflects state government initiatives to attract new brands and provide financing and support programs to help local businesses grow into franchises and reach international markets.
