Business owners killed in separate shootings in Guadalajara and León

Two separate fatal shootings involving business owners were reported in different Mexican cities.

In Guadalajara, Jalisco, a dry cleaner manager was shot and killed while sweeping the street in the Santa Elena de la Cruz neighborhood. Authorities noted that the victim had reportedly received threats approximately two days prior to the attack. Local police cordoned off the area to preserve evidence as investigators look into the possibility of a premeditated direct attack.

In León, Guanajuato, a hardware store owner identified as Pedro Enrique was shot while loading construction materials into a vehicle in the Valle de San Pedro neighborhood. Witnesses reported that two individuals on a motorcycle approached the victim and fired at close range before fleeing the scene. Emergency services confirmed the victim had no vital signs upon arrival. The State Attorney General's Office has launched an investigation into the incident.
