Busto Arsizio to host Nazra Palestine Short Film Festival screenings

The Nazra Palestine Short Film Festival will hold a screening event in Busto Arsizio on October 19 at the Sala Ali della Libertà. The event features award-winning short films from the 2026 edition, which were previously honored in Naples on October 5.

As part of the Restare Umani network, the festival uses cinema to provide insight into the Palestinian issue for both those familiar with the topic and newcomers. The program includes several winning works, such as ‘Intersecting Memory’ by Shayma’ Awawdeh, ‘Qaher’ by Nada Khalifa, ‘Morgenkreis’ by Basma Alsharif, ‘Free Fish’ by Bisan Owdae, and ‘Ya Maha’ by Ahmad Alkhalil.

In addition to the screenings, director Ward Kayyal will participate in a discussion with Emad Qaisi and Marcoandrea Spinelli to explore the themes and meanings behind the cinematic works. The event is organized by the Restare Umani committee in collaboration with various local associations, including Anpi, Acli, Auser, and Legambiente BustoVerde.
