BWS Maluku distributes clean water to drought-stricken Ambon hamlet

The Balai Wilayah Sungai (BWS) Maluku has distributed 5,000 liters of clean water to the Nahel hamlet in the Gunung Nona area of Ambon to combat local water shortages caused by drought.

Acting Head of BWS Maluku, Ruslan Malik, stated that the distribution was a response to community reports regarding limited water supplies. This latest delivery brings the total amount of water distributed to the area to 18,000 liters as of August 27, 2026. The agency intends to continue monitoring the situation to assist residents affected by the dry conditions.
