BYD Energy Storage expands global BESS after-sales network
BYD Energy Storage has established a multi-tier global after-sales service network to support its growing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) deployments. The company currently operates nine Operation and Maintenance (O&M) centers, each covering 2,500 square meters, located in China, Chile, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Japan, Poland, and the Middle East.
The network is designed to provide round-the-clock support through a framework of station O&M, project centers, regional centers, and a global headquarters. Core services include spare parts management, battery repair and maintenance, battery recycling, and technical training for local engineers. To further expand its footprint, BYD plans to open new service centers in South Africa and Bulgaria in 2027.
The company’s professional service team includes over 200 field engineers and more than 100 R&D specialists. BYD has implemented standardized service level agreements (SLAs) that mandate a response within 24 hours, on-site arrival within 48 hours, and fault troubleshooting within seven days.
