BYD expands French market presence with new hybrid offers
BYD is intensifying its competitive strategy in the French automotive market to counter rising rivals like Chery. The company has introduced several new commercial offers, including a price reduction of 2,000 euros for its Dolphin G plug-in hybrid city car.
To support its electric vehicle lineup, BYD's French division is now offering CEE premiums of 365 euros for individuals and 555 euros for companies. While these amounts are lower than the ecological bonuses available for European-made competitors, the company is also promoting aggressive long-term rental rates for its plug-in hybrid models, such as the ATTO 2 DM-i and SEALION 5 DM-i.
Consumer experiences reflect a transition toward electric mobility. One driver reported moving from diesel to a Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid before ultimately choosing a BYD Seal RWD, noting the benefits of silent and smooth electric driving despite initial concerns regarding range and infrastructure.
