BYD expands Latin American presence with new models in Argentina and Brazil
BYD has launched the pre-sale of the Seal 5 DM-i in Argentina, marking the brand's entry into the sedan segment in the country. The vehicle features Super Hybrid DM-i technology, a plug-in hybrid architecture designed to optimize energy efficiency. According to the manufacturer, the model offers a combined range of up to 1,600 kilometers under the NEDC cycle and a fuel consumption rate of approximately 3.7 liters per 100 km.
In Brazil, the company has also reached a milestone with the local production of the Song Pro Super-Híbrido Flex Fuel at its Camaçari plant. This model is the first plug-in hybrid manufactured entirely in Brazil by the company and is capable of running on electricity, gasoline, or ethanol. This production is part of a 100 million real investment program aimed at strengthening BYD's presence in the Latin American market.
