BYD launches ultra-fast charging system in Brazil

BYD has launched its Flash Charging system in Brazil, starting with the installation of a 1,500 kW ultra-fast charger in Brasília. The equipment, located at a Denza dealership operated by Grupo Saga, is capable of adding up to 400 kilometers of range in just five minutes. For compatible models, the system can increase battery charge from 10% to 70% in the same timeframe, reaching 97% within nine minutes.

This inaugural installation marks the beginning of an ambitious infrastructure project. BYD aims to deploy 1,000 ultra-fast charging points across Brazil by the end of 2027. The choice of Brasília for the debut reflects the city's growing electric mobility market, which recently ranked second in the country for electrified vehicle registrations.
