BYD reaches milestone with 10,000 ultra-fast Flash Charging stations

BYD has reached a milestone with the launch of its 10,000th 1.5-megawatt Flash Charging station. The company has doubled the size of its ultra-fast charging network in just five months, deploying approximately 34 stations per day since April. The network now covers 332 cities across China, including full coverage in first- and second-tier cities where stations are located on average every 3 kilometers.

These high-power stations utilize on-site energy storage to buffer the grid and can charge vehicles equipped with Blade 2.0 batteries from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. BYD aims to expand the network to 20,000 stations by the end of 2026. The company has also established partnerships with major energy firms including Sinopec, PetroChina, and Shell to support its infrastructure rollout.
