BYD shares rise as Brazil plant reaches 100,000 EVs and Tai 7 SUV passes 200,000 sales
BYD's Hong Kong‑listed shares gained about 1.6% after the company announced that its Camacari plant in Brazil rolled out its 100,000th electric vehicle. The factory, which began production in July 2025, is being expanded to a yearly capacity of 150,000 units as part of a billion‑dollar investment.
At the same time, BYD’s Chinese sub‑brand Fang Cheng Bao reported that cumulative sales of its Tai 7 SUV exceeded 200,000 units, making the model the fastest‑selling angular SUV in China.
Technical analysis of the BYD stock shows bullish signals: the weekly Relative‑Strength Index has entered the neutral zone with a recent upward cross, and the MACD is approaching a bullish crossover, suggesting that the steep 55% fall from its all‑time high may be stabilising.
