BYD to launch Brazil's first ultrafast EV charger in Brasília

BYD is launching Brazil’s first ultrafast electric vehicle charger in Brasília. The unit, to be installed at a Denza dealership on October 1, utilizes Flash Charging technology capable of delivering up to 1,500 kW per connector.

This technology aims to significantly reduce charging times. Under ideal conditions, compatible vehicles can charge from 10% to 97% in nine minutes, or from 10% to 70% in just five minutes. The system uses integrated Blade battery storage to provide high power without overloading the local electrical grid.

Currently, the Denza Z9 GT is the only model in Brazil fully compatible with the maximum power output of this system. BYD plans to expand this infrastructure significantly, with a goal of installing 1,000 chargers across Brazil by the end of 2027.
