BYD's Da Tang EV reaches 10,000 deliveries in China

BYD delivered its 10,000th Da Tang EV on July 23 in Koktokay, Xinjiang, just a month after the model’s launch on June 17. The flagship D‑segment SUV is priced between 239,900 and 309,900 yuan and offers four variants, a seven‑seat 2+2+3 layout, and a 950‑kilometre electric range powered by BYD’s second‑generation Blade Battery and a 1,000‑volt architecture. The vehicle can charge from 10% to 97% in nine minutes and is available with a single‑motor rear‑wheel‑drive or a dual‑motor all‑wheel‑drive system that produces up to 585 kW and accelerates from 0‑100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It features roof‑mounted LiDAR, a 3‑nanometer cockpit chip and the God’s Eye 5.0 driver‑assistance system. The milestone buyer includes Chinese football‑youth program founder Dong Lu. The Da Tang EV fills a gap in BYD’s lineup and competes with models such as Leapmotor’s D19 and Nio’s Onvo L90.
