BYD sales milestones and sub-brand expansion
Overview
In late July 2026, BYD reported that its newly launched Da Tang flagship SUV delivered its 10,000th unit within a month of debut, highlighting rapid market uptake for a high-range, fast-charging model equipped with advanced driver-assistance and LiDAR.
By August 5, BYD announced that its Fangcheng Bao sub-brand had surpassed 500,000 cumulative vehicle deliveries since its July 2023 launch. July sales for the brand jumped 190.6% year-on-year to 41,213 units, contributing to BYD’s overall July sales of 419,211 vehicles and strong overseas growth, with overseas deliveries climbing 124.3% to 179,841 units. The brand’s lineup, including the Ti 7 midsize hybrid SUV, leverages BYD’s DMO hybrid platform, cloud-based suspension, and Huawei’s intelligent driving systems.
Expanding its sub-brand's reach, BYD launched an entry-level version of the Fang Cheng Bao Tai 3 SUV in China. Priced at approximately 18,500 euros, this model utilizes a 64.3 kWh second-generation Blade Battery to maintain affordability while offering high charging efficiency, capable of charging from 10% to 70% in five minutes. The Tai 3, a large SUV comparable in size to a Toyota RAV4, has seen over 30,000 units delivered in the first seven months of 2026 and may potentially enter the Spanish market under the Denza B3 name.
Together, these developments illustrate BYD’s expanding portfolio and accelerating sales across both premium flagship models and its rugged, connectivity-focused sub-brands.
