On August 5, BYD announced that its Fangcheng Bao sub‑brand has surpassed 500,000 cumulative vehicle deliveries, marking a three‑year milestone since the brand’s launch in July 2023. The brand, positioned as a personalized electric‑vehicle line focused on rugged off‑road and urban use, offers models such as the Bao 5, Bao 8, Ti 3 and the best‑selling Ti 7, a midsize hybrid SUV available in plug‑in hybrid and pure‑electric versions.

July sales data showed Fangcheng Bao sold 41,213 units, a 190.6% year‑on‑year increase and a 15.7% month‑on‑month rise. BYD’s total July sales were 419,211 vehicles, with overseas deliveries climbing 124.3% to 179,841 units. The average transaction price for Fangcheng Bao vehicles exceeded 223,000 yuan.

The brand’s technology stack incorporates BYD’s DMO hybrid platform, cloud‑based suspension (Yun Dian), and Huawei’s intelligent driving systems, underscoring its strategy to blend off‑road capability with advanced connectivity.
