Cacau Protásio absent from initial Avenida Brasil 2 cast list

The absence of actress Cacau Protásio from the initial cast announcement for the upcoming telenovela ‘Avenida Brasil 2’ has sparked significant reaction on social media. Protásio, who played the popular character Zezé in the original 2012 production, was not included in the first list of confirmed actors released by Globo.

Fans and fellow actresses have launched online campaigns requesting her return to the series. Protásio’s representative, Juliana Palmer, expressed surprise and sadness regarding the omission, noting that the actress has always expressed a desire to reprise the role.

Globo has confirmed the production of the sequel, which is scheduled to premiere in January. While major names such as Adriana Esteves, Cauã Reymond, Débora Falabella, Eliane Giardini, and Juliano Cazarré have been announced, Protásio's participation remains unconfirmed.
