TV Globo Avenida Brasil 2 production updates

Overview

TV Globo has announced the cast for the upcoming sequel to the hit telenovela ‘Avenida Brasil 2’, which is scheduled to premiere in January 2027. The initial announcement confirmed the return of several original actors, including Adriana Esteves, Débora Falabella, Murilo Benício, and Cauã Reymond, alongside new cast members such as Thalita Carauta, Jéssica Ellen, and Fábio Scalon.

Following the announcement, public attention shifted to the absence of actress Cacau Protásio, who played the character Zezé in the 2012 original. Her omission from the initial list sparked social media campaigns from fans and colleagues requesting her return. While her representative expressed surprise at the omission, Globo has confirmed the production is moving forward with the scheduled January premiere.
