Cadillac F1 appoints Marcin Budkowski as new Team Principal
Cadillac F1 is undergoing significant structural changes as the 2026 season approaches. The team has appointed Marcin Budkowski as the new Team Principal, replacing Graeme Lowdon. Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports, described the transition as an “inflection point” intended to move the team into its next stage of development.
In addition to the leadership change, the team has seen the departure of Shyam Rajdev, who served as Head of Content. Rajdev was instrumental in building the team’s digital and visual identity from its inception.
Drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez are preparing for the resumption of the championship at the Dutch Grand Prix. Bottas noted that Budkowski’s arrival should bring a “new kind of approach” to the team’s competitive strategy. Pérez expressed enthusiasm for the new leadership as the team faces the technical challenges of a sprint weekend in Zandvoort.
Team manager Peter Crolla highlighted the immense logistical and operational complexity of building a Formula 1 team from the ground up, noting the aggressive recruitment required to meet technical regulations and operational standards.
