Cairo University medical students participate in German summer school

Eight students from Cairo University’s Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine participated in a specialized international summer school hosted by the University of Greifswald in Germany. The program, which concluded on August 26, 2026, focused on the field of neurosurgery and included an academic and cultural exchange program.

The participating students included Ahmed Hatem, Ahmed Hossam, Malak Ashraf, Mariam Amir, Rawan Hani, Raghad Hossam, Mohamed Mansour, and Youssef Mostafa, representing the third, fourth, and fifth academic years.

Cairo University President Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek stated that the university prioritizes the internationalization of education and academic openness to prepare students for the global labor market. Dr. Hossam Salah, Dean of the Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine, added that internationalizing medical education is a key strategy to ensure doctors possess both academic knowledge and clinical skills within diverse scientific environments.
