Egyptian medical student international exchanges

Overview

Egyptian medical universities continue to engage in international academic exchange programs to enhance clinical training and global preparedness.

At Sohag University, the Faculty of Medicine hosted 13 students from seven countries, including Romania, France, Bulgaria, Spain, the Czech Republic, Morocco, and Malaysia. The program provided practical training in specialties such as general surgery, urology, and cardiothoracic surgery.

Separately, students from Cairo University’s Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine completed a specialized neurosurgery summer school at the University of Greifswald in Germany. University leadership noted that such internationalization is a key strategy to prepare students for the global labor market and diverse scientific environments.
