Caixa Econômica Federal to auction 1,605 properties nationwide

Caixa Econômica Federal, in partnership with Fidalgo Leilões, will conduct four virtual auctions offering a total of 1,605 real‑estate units across 26 Brazilian states and the Federal District. The lots comprise 1,053 apartments, 461 houses, 78 land parcels and nine commercial spaces, with discounts of up to 67 % off the appraised value and initial bids starting at roughly R$11,600.

The auctions are scheduled for 25 June, 3 July, 16 July and 23 July, each opening at 10 a.m. Participants must register on the Fidalgo Leilões platform and submit the documentation required in the edital. Some properties may be eligible for financing and the use of FGTS, subject to the conditions listed for each lot. Caixa will cover IPTU or condominium debts that exceed 10 % of the appraisal value; smaller liabilities remain the buyer’s responsibility.

The Southeast region holds the largest share of the inventory (872 units), with São Paulo contributing 290 listings. Examples include a 221 m² plot in São José do Rio Preto starting at R$62,655 and an apartment in Rio de Janeiro listed at R$66,164. The auction aims to provide affordable housing opportunities while clearing Caixa’s portfolio of surplus assets.
