CaixaBank creates new cyber‑security unit to tackle AI‑driven threats
CaixaBank announced a restructuring of its cyber‑security function by establishing a dedicated unit within its technology subsidiary, CaixaBank Tech. The unit is intended to embed security considerations from the earliest stages of digital projects, aiming to strengthen the bank’s digital resilience against evolving threats such as advanced artificial‑intelligence models and emerging quantum‑computing capabilities.
María Guillamón has been appointed chief information security officer of the new unit, working in coordination with Alberto Rosa, the group‑wide CISO, to ensure consistent protection policies across all of CaixaBank’s operations and subsidiaries.
