CaixaProinfancia summer camps in Málaga support thousands of vulnerable children

The Fundación La Caixa’s CaixaProinfancia program runs summer camps and urban colonies in Málaga for children aged four to thirteen, targeting families with limited resources. More than 30,000 minors across Spain benefit from the initiative, which provides educational games, traditional activities, healthy lunches, and outings to beaches and water parks.

Parents report the camps help them balance work and childcare, while children gain social skills and confidence. One mother said, "Mis hijos se lo pasan súper bien. Hacen juegos nuevos, están con compañeros y vienen a casa contentísimos," highlighting the program’s role in reducing isolation and screen time during the holidays.

The weekly themes cover memory, local environment and coexistence, aiming to combine leisure with learning and psychological support.
