Caixa's Merit Promotion Plan Rejected by Employee Committee

The Executive Employees Committee (CEE) of Caixa rejected the bank's proposal for a merit‑based promotion system covering the 2026 and 2027 base years. The committee said the plan required ten separate actions to achieve the first salary delta and another ten for the second, and tied progression to the Alcance Caixa metric, which would delay payment until after the bank’s annual results.

Each delta would raise the base salary by an average of 2.31 %. The CEE demanded that the 2026 delta be paid in January 2027, noting that previous deltas for 2025 were only credited in April 2026, reducing their financial impact. The proposal also split required actions into two blocks – “Saúde em Dia” (health and training) and “Estratégia Caixa” (strategy courses) – and was intended to remain in force for two years. Representatives, including coordinator Luiza Hansen and union delegate Lucas Cunha, argued the plan would create obstacles for agency staff and limit career advancement.
