Cal Crutchlow to substitute for injured Johann Zarco at Silverstone MotoGP

Cal Crutchlow will ride for LCR Honda at the British Grand Prix in Silverstone, stepping in for French rider Johann Zarco who is still recovering from a crash at the Barcelona round.

Zarco’s recovery is progressing positively, with the team expecting a return in September; he may also miss the upcoming Aragon race. Crutchlow, 40, has been the stand‑in since Mugello, making his sixth consecutive start without scoring points, his best finish a 16th place in Hungary and the Netherlands.

The British rider now based in Dubai has brought his family to the circuit and continues his fitness regime that includes extensive cycling, logging 27,500 km on a bike last year.
