Calabria launches major recruitment for medical and administrative roles

The Calabria region is currently managing significant recruitment efforts to address staffing shortages in both administrative and healthcare sectors.

In the healthcare sector, Azienda Zero has launched several public competitions to recruit 111 specialized medical doctors. These vacancies span multiple provinces and specialties, including 26 psychiatrists, 29 nephrologists, and 38 specialists in obstetrics and gynecology. Other roles include sports medicine specialists and vascular surgeons to be distributed across various local health authorities (Asp) and hospitals in Catanzaro, Reggio Calabria, Cosenza, Crotone, and Vibo Valentia.

Simultaneously, candidates for regional administrative roles have raised concerns regarding the stagnation of ranking lists. Specifically, individuals eligible for 54 non-managerial positions—including auditors, technical officials, and IT analysts—have reported a halt in the progression of these lists, despite regional legislative proposals intended to facilitate the movement of candidates through existing rankings.
