Calabria Road Police conduct road safety education for students

The European Road Safety Education Week has concluded in Calabria, Italy, as part of the RoadPol Safety Days 2026 initiative. Organized by the Calabria Road Police, the program reached over one thousand students across various educational institutions and municipal settings.

The association ‘Il Dono’ participated in the initiative, working alongside the State Police to promote messages of responsibility, legality, and respect for road safety rules. Alfonso Toscano, president of the association, emphasized that the program served as a vital opportunity to engage youth through personal testimonies regarding the value of life and community responsibility.

Educational sessions were held at several locations, including the Luigi Costanzo Scientific High School in Decollatura, the Industrial Technical Institute in Soveria Mannelli, and various institutions in Catanzaro and Vibo Valentia. These meetings featured personal accounts from families of individuals such as Andrea Minasi, Michelangelo Montauro, and Anita Lazzaro to provide real-world perspectives on road safety.
