Road safety education initiatives in Italy

Overview

Italian road police authorities have conducted various educational initiatives aimed at promoting road safety and community responsibility among students.

In Vieste, the Road Police hosted a school camp organized by the Ugr27 association. During the visit, students observed technical traffic prevention tools, such as Street Control, Autovelox, and Telelaser equipment, and were introduced to service vehicles.

In Calabria, the RoadPol Safety Days 2026 initiative concluded with the European Road Safety Education Week. This program reached over one thousand students through sessions at several high schools and technical institutes. Working with the association ‘Il Dono’, the State Police utilized personal testimonies from families to emphasize the importance of legality and respect for road safety rules.
